Meet Dr Saien Pather
As a graduate of the University of Cape Town, his journey took him from Cape Town to Pretoria and finally Johannesburg. While he worked his way through academic hospitals, community clinics and private practice, he gained experience and saw first-hand where primary healthcare could be better.
Opening his own practice is his opportunity to be part of that change.
Dr Pather believes that good medicine is grounded in evidence, and great healthcare brings compassion, connection and the person behind the patient into every decision.
Known for his warm, compassionate and gentle bedside manner, Dr Pather believes primary healthcare should feel different.
Healthcare, to him, is a collaboration — one where you feel heard, understood and involved in the decisions about your health.
A lover of sport, he found balance through participating in UCT clubs. That love for an active, well-rounded life continues today — outside the practice, you’ll find him on the tennis court, travelling the world, or enthusiastically embracing his very nerdy side.
